Yesterday

Yesterday was a good day for Lilah.  When I picked her up from daycare I walk in to her escaping into the kitchen.  Sarah was telling me how she escapes from anything now.  David and I taught her to say “no no” when she wants to do something she shouldn’t.  So, she scolds what she wants to do and runs away from it.  She also has this habit of kicking when changing her diaper because she thinks it’s funny, and she would like to be diaper less all the time.  Dana told me how she was changing her diaper and Lilah said to her “no no” and Dana was surprised when she did that.  She also has been picking up a smaller child named Lindsay who is 10 months old and helping her walk around the room.  When Lindsay’s mom comes to pick her up, Lilah buckles her in her car seat but she has not figured out how to tighten it yet.

When we got home, she had a good time with snacks and then proceeded to tackle David.  Her Daddy is the most entertaining ride in the house and she gave him a big kiss after.  Then she tackled him again to give him a hug.  She had a pretty good night but she woke up at 12:00am and stayed awake until 2:00am.  When I dropped her off at daycare today she did not want to be dropped off and snuggled me until she went to Dana.  She should have a good day today because they are going to carve pumpkins and she likes to play with them.  The battle with the pacifier is still not over but we’ve got her down to nap times.  Soon, we’re going to take it away for good!  We still haven't decided if we should do it now or after the baby comes and wait for her to get use to the new baby.

Recent Events

Lilah recently had her doctor’s appointment and she was 32.5 inches long and 25 1/2 lbs.  She was close to 80% in height and 75% in weight.  I think she is gearing up for a growth spurt though because her thighs get really chunky and thin out (she is currently at the chunky stage) and she has been really tired lately.  We did not do much on Friday because it was rainy but on Saturday we went to get Lilah’s bedrails to make her crib into a toddler bed.  We are going to wait a while longer though because she just does not seem ready yet.  She will show signs that she is and then back them up.  I think we are going to hold off for a while until the new baby is a few months old so she won’t be too insecure.  While we picked up her things from Burlington Coat Factory in Frederick, we went to lunch at Outback.  They give you a roll of pumpernickel bread at the beginning and we cut some off and buttered it for Lilah.  Lilah decided she didn’t want the slice but when for the rest of the roll.

Here is a perfect picture of Lilah with the bread.

Later that night, we decided to cut up one of the pumpkins that we got from Larriland Farms the week before to make pumpkin cookies.  That was a disaster that took most of the night because we didn’t know how to correctly puree it (it’s not just blend it up either) and it took a while to do it.  If we decide to do it again, we will just cut it up, blend it, and leave it in a strainer with coffee filters overtop a bowl so all the water can drain out.  Some directions online were telling us to use a cheese cloth and press the water out of it.  But we were definitely happy that we decided to do that on a Saturday because Sunday morning the pumpkin had a bunch of water come out of it.  Lilah definitely wanted to help out but she thought it would be more fun to throw it on the floor.

On Sunday, we went to a family reunion where Lilah terrorized her 3 year old cousin Nicholas (he wanted nothing to do with her and she thought he was awesome).  Lilah had a great time though and played with everyone.  The reunion was at a park with a great playground and an animal farm.  But Lilah was not interested much in the playground but she loved the animal farm.  Every time we put her down she took off for the farm.  She thought all the animals were awesome but was upset that she couldn’t pet them.

Lately, Lilah and David are putting me to bed so Lilah will go in her crib (I sneak out after she goes down but I have to be under the covers).  When she tucks me in she’s been petting me on the head and then she says goodnight to her little brother and kisses him goodnight.

Here is a picture of Lilah getting on her truck to try and ride it.

Trip to Larriland this week

Lilah had a fieldtrip with her daycare this week to Larriland Farms.  They all went apple picking, went through a haunted house, and played at the petting zoo.  Lilah had so much with all the kids and the animals.  She was extremely helpful apple picking but she wanted to lick the apples.  She also had a fun time at the haunted house and she waved to all the ghosts and trolls.  She even gave one of the people a hug who was pretending to be a ghost.

Her favorite thing to do was the petting zoo though and she was so helpful feeding them.  Lilah took some of the food given out and ran to a goat and shoved it in his face trying to feed him.

Here are some pictures of her trying to play with the goats.

She loved them so much she wanted to climb the fence to take one home with her.  Luckily, Dana and Sarah did not allow her to get very far.

During the evening at home, Lilah was so helpful giving my cell phone.  She handed it right to me and said "It's for you."  She is really coming along on her speech but at daycare her and Major have their own language (they are like twins!)

Lilah's Trip to Walmart and Ride Home

Lilah and I took a trip to Walmart on Monday and picked out a new dog bed with her stamp of approval.  She had a blast at Wally World and tuckered herself out.

Here is a picture of Lilah taking a ride in the dog bed.

She now shoo's the dogs out of it just to rest in it.  She thinks it's the most thing in the world.  But her and Emma will lay in it together cuddled up.

Here is a picture from the ride home yesterday from daycare.

We have her checkup on Friday and that should go well, and we have my OB checkup after that.
We recently had my 20 week ultrasound and we have a very healthy baby!  Everything is matching up to the due date.  So February 19th is a go!
Here is the info on development.  The baby is about 11.5 inches long and 12.5 ounces.

Weekend fun

We had a busy weekend with everything.  On Friday, we went to Wal-Mart so Lilah could get a new blanket because we keep losing hers.  She has decided not to part with it so we could get it washed from the tomato sauce she put on it.  Here are a couple of pictures of her and the new blanket.
Here she is putting it down to cuddle with and another one playing with it.

On Saturday, we went to a horse farm with some friends and I sat while David rode a horse to which Lilah was extremely upset about.  She did not like seeing her daddy doing something without her.  Later in the day, I worked on my paper a bit, David helped his grandfather in West Virginia, and Lilah spent some time with her grandma.  Lilah was very helpful wanting to be held the whole time while grandma cleaned out her desk.  Later, we went to a Japanese steak house restaurant in Frederick mall for Trey’s birthday.  Lilah had such fun terrorizing the restaurant and she had so much energy.  She also liked the show the chef did and has a new fondness for hibachi rice.  She also had to have grandma’s bear that sings and dances to the alphabet song and has refused to be separated from it since.  We are currently looking for a replacement so we can give back the bear but they’ve stopped making it.

On Sunday, David took Lilah in the afternoon to go and get juice for her because we were out (we do a trip once every other month).  They went and got juice and went to Toysrus where Lilah picked out a rattle that she played with the entire time she was there but when they went to checkout, Lilah decided not to play with it.  But David got it for her anyways and she showed me at home how much she still liked the rattle.  She even gives it kisses.

Update

Life has been hectic lately and Lilah is doing great.  She has been playing and having fun though she had hand foot mouth over the weekend so we stayed in because we didn't want to get anyone sick.  I am also 12 weeks pregnant and Lilah is adjusting to that but I think she will be a good big sister.  She likes to play with the baby at daycare and has fun trying to feed her.  Overall, she has been a trip.  We had to go to the doctor's on Friday for her 15 month check up and she is growing at her normal curve.  She was 24 lbs which was 75% in weigh, 34 inches 95% height, and head was 50% as always.  Even though she had that virus when she was being seen, she said that she was doing well and everything looked great.  She is developing normally and ahead of the game as always.

Lilah has this habit now of saying "duckie" with this little smile on her face.  She wouldn't do it for the doctor but she said it all the way home.  I swear she has non-stop energy and is such a bundle of fun.

Here is a picture from Lilah's dare devil escapades.

Hopefully, she will start being more gentle with me as I get a bigger belly.  Funny enough, there are two people who are due within a week of me so I have some pregger friends to share it with.

Weekend

Things have gotten less crazy as of late but we are still busy.  On Saturday, we went to Mike's birthday party and Lilah had a ball playing with the other kids and David.  She also chased their dog Jack around the yard and played fetch with him.  Lilah had some jealousy issues when I held Sophia and I ended up with both of them in my arms.  Though, I had to give Sophia away when she started poking Lilah in the eye.  But here is a picture from before the party when Lilah was grabbing her blanket and then her purse and trying to open the door.

On Sunday, we went and visited a bunch of people and saw Marianne and James.  They were doing excellent and Marianne seems to be on the baby high.  Later, we went and had dinner at David's sister house and Lilah and I played soccer with Dominick and Nick.

Life lately

Life has been hectic for us lately because we seem to be doing a lot right now.  Over the weekend, David was kind enough to work on our friend’s car and Lilah got to hang out with Rayford.  They had a ball together and Rayford is really learning to be a gentleman around smaller kids (he’s 2).  On Sunday, we went strawberry picking at Baugher’s farm and Lilah was having fun on the playground (which is what we did first).  After that, we got to go on a small ride to the fields and Lilah was nice enough to let us both pick for a while and she was picking too!  It was cute watching her put them in the box and them pick them up to eat.  After that, she was not interested in picking and wanted to be held (I think it was because of how hot it was).
On Monday, Lilah showed us how much more she has been learning because she decided to take everything out of my lunchbox and when I asked her to put a specific object back in she did it!  She is also pointing to things and saying what they are.  On Tuesday, Lilah was a little bully again and tackled Major (I think she was trying to hug him).  But they were also dancing together and having a blast (they will go around dancing together and waving to everyone).  Lilah has also been feeding the children snacks, so maybe she’s training for a future career in politics.  Wednesday was interesting because when I picked her up from day I noticed a part of her ear was a little purple and it wasn’t until I got home that I noticed it looked like she was bit.  She did not seem bothered by it so I waited until today to tell daycare about it.  I think Major was just testing his boundaries.  But my little monkey has been chasing us around the house and then tackling us!  She really such a fun kid and I am really loving getting to do more and more with her every day.
Here are some pictures from Lilah hanging out in the tree before picking strawberries and a picture at home.

New cousin!!!

Marianne had her baby and his name is James Franklin!  Lilah has a new cousin.  Hopefully, she will be excited about him :)

Weekend

A lot happened this weekend.  On Friday, Lilah and I went down to Randallstown to meet up with David and have lunch with him.  After that, I went and picked up Rayford and brought him back to my house where there were beginning tornadoes happening near my house.  Luckily, nothing happened but the sky was really dark and it was extremely heavy rain.  On Saturday, we all went to the DC zoo with a work friend of mine named Laura.  Lilah had an awesome time at the zoo and she liked the prairie dogs and the petting farm where she petted a cow.  After that busy day, Lilah went to bed at 9:00pm and would not get up until 12:00pm Sunday except for when she cried.  But she had a fever Sunday and refused to eat until late in the day and that was not much.  She has a doctor’s appointment today but David’s dad was nice enough to watch her this morning so I could go to work.  Lilah appeared to be doing better though when she woke up at 3:00am and started tackling me.  Hopefully, she will be all better today.

Whirlwind of a week

It seems like so much has been going on with us for the last few weeks.  David got a side job he was working on for over a week and it seems like he should be finished up with it (he was working on it until 2am this morning).  He seems to be happy with it and he likes the challenge.  My office has reorganized the project I was working on and I am supposed to start working in the front office with some new duties.  I am also passing statistics though this was only achievable because David has been tutoring me and helping me with homework.  Lilah has so much going on it is unbelievable I am keeping up.  She loves imitating us and now she started pointing her finger at the dogs and saying “bad.”  Now, every time she goes home when they are trapped in the kitchen so she can eat she tells them they are bad and eats her cornbread in front of them.  She also likes to tell us that we are bad.
Overall the weekend, the only things we did I really remembered was that I got my homework done and we went to Layla’s birthday party.  Overall, it has been a quiet week but yesterday we did go the farmer's market in Mount Airy.  I was excited because I got some fresh vegetables and some chicken!  Lilah liked looking at everything and was interested in the different colors.  Dana told me today that she was impressed that when you ask her a question, she will answer it.  I told her how every ride we take together we have conversations where she tells me what she did that day, who she played with, and what she ate.  Of course, all of her conversation is in baby babble but it is nice that she interacts with us so much.  She also has been sharing really well and likes to give hugs now.
I am really excited for the weekend because I will be taking Lilah to the Washington D.C. Zoo for the first time.  I hope we have nice weather and I know Lilah will love all the animals.  Overall, there is not too much going on this weekend.

Yesterday

Yesterday was interesting.  When I picked up Lilah from daycare she was content to play on the ground with the other kids.  When we got home David hopped in the car and we went to Walmart and Safeway.  At Walmart, we got a new cartridge for the printer and went to Safeway.  At Safeway, Lilah wanted different things for our grocery cart.  After that, we went home and had leftovers.  Lilah still refuses to eat peas though but she would eat the bread, or the salmon, or the hotdog.  It is frustrating that she will not eat vegetables.  Overall, she had a good night and was strangely chill after the shower and was content to relax with me.

The weekend

The weekend was a good one.  On Friday, we went to a yard sale where we got Lilah a new car (fisher price)!  She absolutely loves it too.  When we brought it home she spent the rest of the day getting in and out of the car. In the evening, we took it to Jimmy Cone behind our house and got in line.  When we were in the line, Lilah got out of her car and looked around like “What’s the hold up?”  After that, we went to Food Lion and she liked driving it up and down isles.  Afterwards, we went home and went to bed where David stayed up until 4:30/5:00am doing a project and Lilah kept kicking me until he got into bed.  But she was kind enough to let me sleep until 8:30am and we went downstairs and ate breakfast together.  Later in the afternoon, we made hotdogs for lunch and went to get Michelle’s birthday present.  Then we went to her birthday party at Marianne and Wayne’s.  Lilah had a blast on Saturday and loved running around with her cousins, the bouncy house, and the different games they had.  She really liked the toss game and kept playing with it.  On Sunday, David’s parents watched Lilah while he helped me with my homework.  Later, they were kind enough to watch her while David and I went out to eat with Kelsey and Brendan.  After that, we took Lilah to Mayfest in downtown and she liked walking around.  She especially liked ice cream.  Overall, it was a busy weekend but a nice one.

Lilah Update

Lilah has been doing well, she's had a rough few weeks but she's getting better.  She had 6 teeth come in at once which is what we figured out caused her fever.  She's also going into a clingy stage where she wants to be held all the time.  Over the weekend was Mother's Day and we got off to a late start because we were up late.  Later, we made it over to Charlie's where Lilah kept trying to eat their dog food and when we told her no she asked why not.  Later, we went to my mother's and hung out with her and my brother Brodie, his wife Christine, and their boys (Matthew, Christian, and Nicholas).  After that, we went and had dinner with David's parents.  Lilah really enjoyed a burger and a racket that she cuddled with (seriously).  On Monday, David went with some of his family to celebrate his mother's birthday and Lilah and I stayed home.  Lilah and I ordered a pizza and she ate a whole slice by herself.  Later, we got cleaned up and went to bed.  Overall, a quiet night until David got home and said hello to both of us.

Yesterday

Yesterday was interesting.  When I picked up Lilah, Dana told me she was fussy again and would not eat that day but she was great when I picked her up.  Afterwards, we went home where she helped me eat a bowl of stew and some grilled cheese.  I'm thinking maybe it's not that she does not want to eat but rather what is being served because I have a heck of a time giving her vegetables and fruits now.  Otherwise, it was an uneventful night and nothing really went on.

The weekend

The weekend seemed longer than usual but we did not have too much going luckily.  On Friday, we went grocery shopping and cleaned up the house.  Later, we went with David’s parents to Frederick and had dinner at the Double T Diner.  Lilah kept going after Jonathan’s cookie so we gave her one of her own.
Here is a picture of Lilah and Mommy with the cookie.  As you can plainly see, I was trying to share the cookie with Lilah but she preferred to eat it herself.

On Saturday, we went to some yard sales where we got an ice cream maker for $2.00.  Later, we went to Rayna’s softball game where we learned Angie and Kyla were in a car accident.  Angie was okay but Kyla got her head knocked around and has a concussion. Rayna did extremely well as a short stop and she also played outfield.  After that, we went home and made fish for dinner.  Lilah was not terribly interested in food the whole weekend but I was happy to see her eat.  We think the reason she had that horrible fever the week before was due to the 6 teeth that popped through (the molar is still trying) that were not there before the fever.  It was currently surprising seeing that many teeth at once, and I was more surprised with when she bit me with them.
On Sunday, we did not do too much but later on in the day when we knew we would not be needed, Jeff and Khalia came over and we took them to David’s granddad’s to meet Football the beagle because they were considering adopting him.  They decided they really liked Football and they will call us when they get their house cleaned up for a second dog.  After that, we went back to our house and had dinner and fresh bread (we finally used the bread maker from the holidays ^_^).  I’m hoping Lilah has a good day at day care today.   One issue we’ve been having with Lilah is that she is refusing the sippy cup all together unless another child is drinking it (adults do not count).  Hopefully, she will get on that soon and off the bottle.  At least she really likes eating food and she absolutely hates baby food now and just tries to make art with it or throw it if we give it to her.  All I can say is oy.

Brand New Day

Last night was not bad other than Lilah being a bit whiny but I figured out why when I brushed her teeth.  She kept biting down where there was a molar coming in and I know that has got to be painful for her.  It also looks like there are several more teeth coming in.  Luckily, we all got some sleep last night and she woke up once for a bottle and went to sleep.  I've tried the trick of "training" her to not wake up by only offerning water at night but she will just wake up and cry until we give her a bottle of formula.  I am currently trying to get her off most of her bottles but with her being sick that backtracked her.  Otherwise, she is doing well weaning off of them during the day (down to 2 during the day and 2 at night).  She had a good morning today but she really wanted me today (I'll be honest that felt nice) but I had to run out the door from daycare so she would not start crying too much.  I think she will have a good day today though.

Exhausting so far

Over the weekend, Lilah was sick but she was feeling better Sunday before we went to Mary's baby shower.  Then she spiked a fever again.  We saw the doctor Monday but they did not see anything definitive.  They said it might be hand/foot/mouth because her throat was inflamed but there was nothing they could see for anything else.  Otherwise, we've been having some sleepless nights (last night we got about 45 minutes of sleep.)  Though she did pop another tooth and there looks like there should be some more coming soon.  Hopefully, that settles soon.

Easter Bunny Pictures

Here are pictures with Lilah and the Easter Bunny from the beginning of April.  She was not like a lot of other children in line who were scared and she took some good photos!

Little Buddha belly showing!

Longggggg Weekend

This was a busy weekend for us because there was so much going on.  On Friday, we started out the day by going to the post office to order new mailbox keys because we could not find the old one.  After that, we went and got David a new shovel and went to Lilah’s doctor’s appointment.  The doctor asked us some questions about how she was doing and asked us questions.  She measured at 31 inches in height (95 percentile), 23 lbs. (75 percentile), and just under 50th percentile for head circumference. The doctor says she is very advanced for her age.  She also had 4 shots and the first two she was confused about but the last two she cried.  After that, we went and had lunch with David’s dad at Five Guys and Lilah loved eating her burger.  After lunch, we went and had pictures taken at Sears where she did some fantastic pictures (really some of her best)!  We then went back home where David tore out the front garden with his dad using his Mack truck to pull out the bushes and Lilah was fascinated by the display.  After that, we went and relaxed for a bit and had dinner at David’s parents where Lilah had fun but she was tired because we did not get out of there until after her bedtime.
On Saturday, David worked at his granddads again with his Dad, Lilah and I brought them lunch from Arby’s and I took Lilah and Dominick to Centennial Park and they had a blast.  We walked around the whole trail and Dominick and Lilah had fun on the playground (Lilah loved going down the slides).  After that, we went to a consignment shop in Ellicott City (Once Upon a Child) and we picked out a kids table for David’s parents’ house and Dominick picked out a toy for himself.  We then rode up to Lisbon and Dominick got a happy meal from McDonalds and I dropped him off at his house.  We then went home and cleaned up a bit.
On Sunday, we went to Layla’s Baptism and Lilah did not want to behave for most of the service so we were outside in the hallway for most of it except the last 5 minutes.  Then she liked how the trumpets went to the front of the room and she got a good view.  After that, we drove over to Wayne’s parents for a reception and we hung out in the basement.  Lilah kept trying to go after M&M’s and we kept telling her “no.”  She had fun with Jonathan though and at the end when they started playing music, Lilah started swaying and dancing and showing off to everyone.  After that, we went home and David put Lilah to sleep while I did homework.
Today was interesting because Lilah was out of wipes at daycare so I had to get more at BabiesRUs and bring them at lunch.  After I picked everything up, I drove over and Lilah was crying and would not let me put her down because she was tired.  I also picked Lilah up a hamburger and Dana said it was alright I could feed her with the other children and she ate a few bites.  The other children were stalking me the hamburger though and some tried to crawl in my lap.  After she ate a few bites of it, she would not let me put her down and I had to basically run out so I could get back to work.  This is why I prefer to go early in the morning because she is more willing to go to sleep or cuddle with Dana while I go to work.

Lilah's First Day at Work

Yesterday, I brought Lilah to work in the morning for her birthday.  We went to the cafeteria and got french toast and she loved it!  We also sent out e-mails and organized some files.  She was very instrumental to the efforts put forth.  She also met a ton of people and was very social with everyone.  When I dropped her off at day care she went right up to the other kids and started playing.  I've been noticing this more and more where she will just go to them and not have any separation problems.  Oh well, I guess it is good she is becoming more independent.  Afterwards, I went back and worked for the rest of the day.  When I picked Lilah up from day care she was happy.  When we got home, we did not do much other than watch Happy Feet 2 which was awesome.  Lilah started dancing to the musical numbers.  She can really swing and sway now!  She is getting so big and she is no longer my baby.  After that, we went upstairs and Lilah had a bath, got dressed, and slept in bed with us.

Yesterday

Yesterday was a good day.  When I picked up Lilah, Sarah told me how Lilah gobbled up cake.  She did not care that it was not hers either, she went right up to another kids plate and grabbed a handful and shoved it in her mouth.  That cracked me up when I heard that, especially since she was not sure of it on Sunday.  Then they also told me how she has become an expert at taking off her diaper and did it 3 times (once right before I came).  When we got home, we all went to the grocery store because we wanted to get a few things.  They were having a good buy one get one free deal at Safeway and we were taking advantage of it.  After we finished grocery shopping, we went home and I accidently dropped the eggs.  Luckily, only two cracked and I used them in some muffins so they did not go to waste.  After that, David made dinner while I bathed Lilah and put lotion on her.  She has definitely started getting dry skin so I am trying to put it on her everyday.  After that, we all went to bed and had some good sleep.

The exhaustingly fun weekend

This whole weekend was a complete blur to me because there was so much going on.  On Friday, it was my first day off from starting my new schedule but David had to work.  So, Lilah and I went to visit Dani in Severn because it has been a long time since we have seen her.  We hung out at her house for a bit and I put suntan lotion on her before we went to a park to walk around.  Lilah hated the suntan lotion and hated even more so when I had to put it on her head.  She looked like she was related to Albert Einstein.  We drove to a park and walked a short trail with Dani and her fiancĂ© Matt (Lilah was on my shoulders).  Matt rode his motorcycle there and Lilah loved playing with it.  She liked sitting on it and wanted to drive it.  Afterwards, Dani and I went to lunch at Lemongrass, which was fantastic.  Lilah enjoyed her fruit and causing mayhem around the restaurant.  After that, we went to Wal-Mart where Dani picked out some clothes for Lilah’s birthday and a baby shower she is going to soon.  All that fun was tiring on Lilah so we went back home to Daddy.  When he got back home, his mother came by to drop off a card for Lilah and her Great Grandmother Dorothy gave her a nice card and donation to her college fund.  We all decided we needed something to do so we all walked to Jimmy Cone and got ice cream with David’s parents, John and Jonathan. Jonathan enjoyed sampling everyone’s ice cream and playing with his truck.  Lilah enjoyed walking everywhere and playing with her Daddy.  After that, we went to back to our house, went shopping out of our freezer, and went to David’s parents’ house for dinner and that was the end of that night.

On Saturday, we started the day early and went to some yard sales because we saw some things we wanted to get.  Luckily, even though we got a late start, we managed to get to the first one to get the DVD player we wanted.  We also went to a few more where we got some clothes, some DVD’s for Lilah, and David got some legos for “Lilah.”  Even though he already has many legos “Lilah” can play with but mostly likes to throw them either at people, or so they trip on them, David still found them necessary since they were 75 cents, and they made him happy.  After that, Lilah and I dropped David off at his truck and we went shopping.  We first went to toysrus to get baby food for Lilah since they were having a good sale where each pouch (Lilah refuses to eat anything in a jar anymore) for a $1.  After that, we went to the shopping center where Mom’s Organic was.  There we walked around the shops and Lilah decided she liked White House/Black Market and I tried to say “bye-bye” so she would want to come back but she ran away into the store so she could play with the clothes and necklaces.  The store workers thought she was adorable and they loved her good taste in clothing.  After that, we went into Mom’s Organic Market because I had a groupon for them and I needed a pizza for Sunday’s party because one of my nephews cannot eat eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, nuts or soy (there is a difference I just do not know what).  We managed to find a pizza that did not have eggs in it and looked appetizing.  We also picked up some baby food for Lilah and I grabbed a magazine to finish off the total so we could use the groupon.  After that, we went back to the house and dropped everything off and Lilah took a nap for 3 hours (all that shopping tuckered her out).  After she finished her nap, she had some dinner and we drove to Safeway to do grocery shopping and pick up some more party supplies.  Since we were having a dinosaur theme birthday, I had supplies for goodie bags but I felt like there should be something more so I picked up oatmeal with dinosaur eggs in them.  After that, we went home, David came home later, and Lilah went to sleep.  Once David and Lilah went to bed I put together goodie bags, put the baby food away, and got some homework done.  I was going to finish homework but Lilah started crying and I know she does not sleep well when David is not in bed with us so I went to bed so she could sleep.

On Sunday, we had a relaxing morning until I pulled out the pizza I got from yesterday and I looked at the back again.  Even though the ingredients said there were no eggs or soy in it, it had a warning saying that while the ingredients were not used in it, the pizza was made around it.  So, I rushed over to Food Lion where it took forever to find a pizza that did not have eggs in it or soy (they can trick you when they say soybean).  I learned that a soy nut is just a roasted soybean and they are not nuts.  But this made it extremely difficult to find something but luckily I managed to find a pizza that worked and I walked back home.  After I put the pizza in the oven, Lilah decided it was time to take a nap on me.  After David packed up the car, I gave Lilah to him so I could change.  Once we got to the restaurant, David stayed in the car with Lilah while I decorated and paid for the cake.  The cake was divine looking and was beautiful.  The party was a lot of fun and everyone had a good time.  All the kids loved pin the head on the dinosaur.  There was a lot of left over pizza and cake.  Lilah, David, and I were very grateful for all the wonderful presents she received from everyone.  When we got home, Lilah got to play with some of her new presents; we sorted out clothes and put Lilah to bed.  She went to sleep at 6:30pm and other than waking up for bottles she stayed asleep.  She either was really worn out from the party or she is going through a growth spurt which makes sense because she’s been eating a lot and sleeping a lot.
This morning Lilah still refused to wake up after I dropped her off at day care though she was opening her eyes a bit.  She must of really needed the sleep but I think she will have an awesome day.
