Busy week!!! Update of Pics

This was a busy week for all of us!!!!
Here are some pictures of Rodger from the week.

David and Lilah went to Trey's birthday party and had some fun!  Lilah and Jonathan went on a lot of rides.  One of them was a spinning teacup and Jonathan was spinning it so quickly, and Lilah was giggling like a madman.  Rodger and I went to another birthday party because they were at the same time.  Sorry no pictures for that one, I was babysitter to 4 kids at that one so had no time.

Last night, Lilah decided we all needed to wear bows, even Daddy and Rodger.  We all looked so cute with them!

Petting Zoos...Slides, and Goats, and Rabbits OH MY!!!!!

Here is an update from the Johnson family!

On Friday, we decided to have an adventure and go to Ellioak’s Farm/Petting Zoo.  There, they have all the exhibits from Enchanted Forrest including all the slides.  Lilah had a complete blast.  We first went through all the exhibits and then she lost her mind when we saw the animals because as you know Lilah LOVES animals.
She got to go into one the pens and pet some so she was super happy about that.  Then she got to see the Finnish Giant Rabbits which were the size of a large cat, but they get as big as a medium sized dog (e.g. Emma the beagle).  Lilah had a blast telling us all about them and she was very serious when describing all of them.  After that, we got to see horses and she petted them on the nose.  Lastly, Lilah went nuts feeding all the mini goats.  All-in-all she just had such a fun time.  Rodger just hung around but he thought the animals were interesting.  He mostly wanted to be snuggled.

Here are some pictures from our trip!

After our trip, we went and had lunch with David’s dad, granddad, and his mom.  Lilah was devastated to see Grandma go away.  But we calmed her down by telling her we would see her later so that pacified her.

Saturday and Sunday we didn’t do too much but Lilah helped David clean…while wearing sunglasses!

I swear Lilah is becoming such a trip!  She getting so sweet too, she loves helping out with Rodger.  By the way Rodger...I never sent his updated measurements.  At his 4 month appointment, he weight 17.12lbs (66%), 26.5 inches (81%), and head was 43.2cm (76%).  So, it seems he put all his growing efforts into his head!  But he already had some major growth spurts though, and the last one I calculated at was at 28 inches.  He is definitely one growing boy.  We also signed Lilah up for dance class and she will be starting classes September 14th!  We have an outfit with tutu and she will look so cute ^_^

It's been a longggg time...

I know it's been a long time since I posted.  But at long last here are some updates!!!!  Lilah is a character as always and getting into mischief.  We recently went to the carnival in Mount Airy for the Fireman’s Carnival (July 24th) and we had a blast with everyone (all the Johnson’s, Albritton’s, and Mullinix’s were there).  Marianne was still pregnant trying to get Connor out but she was still walking around like she was not feeling like it at all.  Jonathan and Lilah were having such fun together riding all the rides.  This was especially exciting for us because this is the first year we didn’t have to go on most of them with her so it really opened what she could do!  Here are some pictures of the carnival of Lilah with Jonathan J

Rodger eventually fell asleep on his Granddad Walt so he was out of the party for a while.  But Lilah did so many carnival games too!  She also got us to play darts so we could win her a kitty poster (with tiger cubs).  She also went fishing to win a stuffed animal!!

Over that weekend we took Lilah to her first trip to the John Deere shop around Frederick.  If you know Lilah, you know she loves going to Granddads and Grandma’s to look at the John Deere Gator and taking trips on it.  So, we got her a shirt with a farm on it that she picked out (her favorite color is now yellow) and a green hat on it that says I heart <picture of tractor>.   It is now one of David’s favorite outfits to put her in.  It will be her in her green hat with the yellow John Deere shirt and yellow shorts.  She looks like a walking logo for John Deere.  I think my child just might grow up liking tractors…

Anywho, here’s a picture of Rodger from a few weeks ago.  He is getting so big.  He was moving himself around in circles and now he is crawling backwards!!! He will give you this big smile like he’s going to come to you and he starts going backwards.  But he can now really move himself around!  He just can’t quite keep his stomach off the floor but he’s up to like 20 seconds now that he can do that.  He is still working on balance but overall he’s mostly content to just be held.  Though he wiggles so often!  He really likes for you to take him places to do things and just hold him.  He is truly a snuggler.

Here’s a picture of Lilah and Jonathan from two weeks ago.  Jonathan grabbed some cookies and shared with Lilah (he was so sweet).  Then they hung out on the chair.

Lilah as always is such a character.  Last night, she decided she wanted to watch Megamind.  But it was in our car, so I had to get it from the car but she had to help me.  Then she decided she had to watch it in the car.  We decided that eventually was not an option so she had to go inside to watch it.  But she was happy after she got macaroni and cheese for dinner.

I wish we got some pictures but we went to the Johnson family reunion over the weekend and had some fun there (I will eventually steal them off facebook).  Lilah enjoyed playing with the other kids and David brought her in the playhouse and came out with princess stuff on!  I swear this is going to be one interesting child.  I see a future for her with a skirt on driving the Gator!

Here are some last pictures of Lilah and Rodger as they are growing!  Lilah refused to take a picture with Rodger, she needed her own picture.
