Sick Again

Lilah has the same ear infection again.  Ms. Danko put her on a different type of antibiotic this time.  Hopefully this will work!!!  She seemed better today actually slept some during the night.  If this doesn't work, she's going to be referred to an ears/noses/throat specialist where they might have to put tubes in her ears.  Hopefully, this medicaton works and fixes the problem.  We're also going to try and wean her off the pacifer because that can lead to ear infections.

Weekend

Friday, we found a new daycare in Ellicott City and is run by a lady named Dana.  Lilah was a little unsure of her at first but she warmed up to her.  When I got at the daycare, David locked his keys in his truck and Granddad Walt came and saved the day. Saturday was excellent too!  We went to Frederick Scott Keys Mall where Granddad Walt was having his birthday party at Miyako’s.  Lilah loved it there because she saw the chef do tricks with fire and flipped food in the air.  The chef also flipped chicken off of Cody’s head and he didn’t notice. She also liked spending time with Aunt Mary and sitting on her lap.  On Sunday, David, Lilah, and I went and had lunch at the Mount Airy Inn with Granddad Walt and Grandma Carol.  Lilah enjoyed eating Daddy’s pancake and snacks.  She also enjoyed crawling on the table towards people.  Afterwards, we went and spent some time at Grandad and Grandma’s house.  Lilah loved being there and she was excited to play and eat snacks with Jonathan.

Last Nights Laundry Fun

Last night Lilah and I were playing in the living room where the laundry basket was (and was full of her clean clothes).  She decided she would crawl up to the laundry basket, pull herself up, and drag the basket across floor to the stairs.  Afterwards, she decided to pull all the clothes out of the basket again and again.  One of the best and true pieces of advice I was given was your child will do something every day to make you laugh.  Thank you Mike, that was true.

Motherhood at 9 Months

Being a mother has definitely been a whirlwind the last 9 months.  While that may not seem to be much for other mothers who have been doing this for years, it has turned my life upside down.  The best way I can describe parenthood so far it is the messiest, fun, and weirdest thing I have done so far in my life.  I will say the first 2 months were the hardest with my lovely daughter Lilah.  This is not due to getting used to the idea of caring for a baby but rather because she was extremely colicky and screamed her head off most of the day.  After that, she became someone I really enjoyed and we are having a blast ever since.  I still cannot believe she’s been turning herself over at a month, tries crawling at 2 months, crawling backwards at 4 months, completely crawling at 7 months, and trying to walk then too.  Some days, it is mind boggling that she is growing up so quickly and doesn’t fit into my arms the same.  I will say I thoroughly enjoy my daughter with everything she does including the way she has this sneaky grin that she up to something.
One thing is for sure, I have a lot of years to figure out that sneaky grin.
