The month of October!!!!! WHEW!!!!!!!!!!

This has been a whirlwind of a month.  The government shutdown lasted 17 days!  I mostly hung out with the kids for it and had fun.  On days I didn’t have them (went to daycare) I got things around the house done.  Though I did send Rodger to daycare one day and Lilah and I had a mommy/daughter day.  I’ve noticed lately that she’s been getting jealous of Rodger ever since he started crawling and touching “her stuff.”  So, I’ve been trying to make her feel special and that seems to help a little.  But now, she’s going through a “I want Mommy” stage and doesn’t want me to hold Rodger.  I’m not sure how to deal with this one because it is so contradictory to her behavior of only wanting daddy.

Anyways, on our Mommy Daughter day, I took her to Columbia Mall!  We went to a few stores, had lunch, and then I took her to get her first haircut!!!!!  I know, I know, she does not have much hair but it was getting so hard to comb it because of split ends so having it definitely really helped.  We decided to go to Cartoon Cuts in the mall and it was completely empty for a Monday.  They put her on a booth covered her, put on Mickey’s Clubhouse (yes they have personal TV’s for the kids), gave her a lollipop, and then let her have the cup of lollipops!  Lilah at first wasn’t going to sit down even with the lollipop they gave her, but once they gave her that cup full of 20 lolli’s she was game.  The lady who did her haircut did a really excellent job too!  She was also quick so when Lilah started getting antsy just she finished up, and she put her hair in cute little pigtails.

Afterwards, we went on the carousel.  If you know Lilah, then you know how she can’t go on the carousel just once.  Oh no, it has to be at least 5 times when your nauseous and can’t stand to go anymore.  Then she wants to go more!  Here are some pictures from that day!

The weekend after I went back to work David and I went to the Howard County Fairgrounds Junk Auction which was a lot of fun.  We looked at everything and Lilah tried to convince us we needed lawn mowers, a new car, a playground, and just about every other machining equipment they had.

Last weekend, my dear friend Angelica got married!!!!!   Lilah and I were in the wedding and it was so much fun.  Angelica, if you ever read this post, you know how to throw a wedding and I give you a standing ovation!  I will post the videos and pictures up next week.  But Lilah did so well as flower girl, she should start charging as a professional one.  She’s got her experience down!  But here are some pictures from Sunday.  David really needed sleep so I took the kids to Gaver Farms.  They have an awesome play area for kids with rides, animals, and playgrounds, and a pumpkin patch!  They had a complete blast there.  They wore themselves out!  Here are some pictures from last Sunday.

Rodger had such fun flinging the stones around!

I love this picture of the two of them!

Lilah playing peekaboo with the boat playground.

This is the cow train they had.  After the ride, Lilah tried to just stay on it and not get off.

Rodger started out strong, that strength ended.  But he made sure to eat a hotdog and a donut before his nap.

Today is HALLOOWEEEEEENNNNNNN!!!!!  So I wish you all a very scary night.  Pictures next of family costumes and the wedding!!!!!!
